ASYNCHRONOUS TA WORKSHOP:

Engagement, Interaction, and Participation - How to get it and how to keep it!

 

Join Nicole and Matt (Instructional Support Assistants, Faculty of Applied Health Science) in this asynchronous workshop.

 

WHEN: This workshop is an asynchronous event, you can access the activities and materials via Sakai.

This learning activities and discussion for this workshop will be available to participate in from:

Saturday, October 17th through Sunday, October 25th

 

WHERE: Sakai (FAHS - ISA)

Note: If you are not yet a member of the site you will be added to the site ahead of the workshop.

 

WHAT:

This asynchronous workshop will help TAs/Marker Graders/Lab Demonstrators improve engagement and maintain student’s participation in online FAHS classes. Through exposure to techniques, tools, and shared experiences, workshop participants will learn ways to create an environment which supports and encourages interaction between students and the Teaching Assistant.

FACILITATORS: Matt and Nicole, Instructional Support Assistants (Applied Health Science) 

 

WHY ATTEND?

Participation in this session will earn 1 TA credit towards the completion of the Certificate in Online Teaching & Learning in Higher Education.

 

CPI Workshops are open to ALL Brock University teaching assistants, marker-graders, tutorial leaders, course coordinators and lab demonstrators. Workshops are applicable to all disciplines.
